Hello.

I was born and raised in Norwich in the UK. I went through the same education system in the 70's that is still the predominant form of education today.

I went to college (failed all my exams), worked, went to college again (passed exams) went to work (learned a lot of lessons!), went to University to become a teacher and have since worked in various roles in over 40 schools all over the world.  I have run not-for-profit charities, organised community action groups, become a forest school facilitator and immersed myself in a wide variety of courses and learning........ because this all gives me an inner joy.

For many years I have found it difficult to work in a system of education that, in my opinion, kills creativity and inner joy and focuses instead on conformity and fear to drive 'success'.

A recent spiritual awakening has enabled me to start working in a way that focuses on the Heart as a guide instead of my old egoic self that was created from patterns learnt in life and from society.

Inspired by educational revolutionaries such as Sir Ken Robinson  and  schools at the forefront of the learning revolution such as Green School Bali, I started to lay down my ideas and concepts in this website. They ebb and flow along with new ideas and discoveries in a way that I feel represents life, ever changing.

Since 2021 I have been working with a small group of open-minded, forward thinking individuals here in Sweden

including Coompanion in Varberg ( created to help social entrepreneurs) and the 4H organisation here in Halland Region. They have shared belief in me and my ideas which has been a huge motivation for me, after what felt like a very lonely journey. There is extensive organisational rigidity around education here and any forward movement has been very slow, but their positivity and belief has kept me going.

So it has also become apparent for the need to experience, first hand, some schools that offer an alternative and creative ways to facilitate learning. So in September this year I will embark on a journey around the world to visit some of these schools along with my family. It is my intention to document the journey and its learning outcomes, which I hope will assist in the creation of a truly beautiful place of learning back here in Sweden.
